The Book of Deeds

The Book of Deeds

  1. For every person We have attached his fate to his neck. And on the Day of Resurrection, We will bring out for him a book which he will find spread open.
  2. “Read your book; today there will be none but yourself to call you to account.”
  3. Whoever is guided—is guided for his own good. And whoever goes astray—goes astray to his detriment. No burdened soul carries the burdens of another, nor do We ever punish until We have sent a messenger.

17-AlIsra’

  1. On the Day when We call every people with their leader. Whoever is given his record in his right hand—these will read their record, and they will not be wronged one bit.
  2. But whoever is blind in this, he will be blind in the Hereafter, and further astray from the way.

17-AlIsra’

  1. We never burden any soul beyond its capacity. And with Us is a record that tells the truth, and they will not be wronged.
  2. But their hearts are puzzled because of this; and they have deeds that do not conform to this, which they continue to perpetrate.

23-AlMu’minun

  1. As for him who is given his book in his right hand, he will say, “Here, take my book and read it.
  2. I knew I would be held accountable.”
  3. So he will be in pleasant living.
  4. In a lofty Garden.
  5. Its pickings are within reach.
  6. “Eat and drink merrily for what you did in the days gone by.”

69-AlHaqqah

  1. But as for him who is given his book in his left hand, he will say, “I wish I was never given my book.
  2. And never knew what my account was.
  3. If only it was the end.
  4. My money cannot avail me.
  5. My power has vanished from me.”
  6. “Take him and shackle him.
  7. Then scorch him in the Blaze.
  8. Then in a chain which length is seventy cubits tie him up.

69-AlHaqqah

  1. As for him who is given his book in his right hand.
  2. He will have an easy settlement.
  3. And will return to his family delighted.
  4. But as for him who is given his book behind his back.
  5. He will call for death.
  6. And will enter the Blaze.
  7. He used to be happy among his family.
  8. He thought he would never return.
  9. In fact, his Lord was watching him.
