Guidance from Allah

Guidance from Allah

  1. As for those who disbelieve—it is the same for them, whether you have warned them, or have not warned them—they do not believe.
  2. God has set a seal on their hearts and on their hearing, and over their vision is a veil. They will have a severe torment.

2-AlBaqarah

  1. If you were to obey most of those on earth, they would divert you from God’s path. They follow nothing but assumptions, and they only conjecture.
  2. Your Lord knows best who strays from His path, and He knows best the guided ones.

6-AlAn’am

  1. Say, “My Lord has guided me to a straight path, an upright religion, the creed of Abraham the Monotheist, who was not a polytheist.”
  1. Say, “My prayer and my worship, and my life and my death, are devoted to God, the Lord of the Worlds.
  2. No associate has He. Thus I am commanded, and I am the first of those who submit.
  3. Say, “Am I to seek a Lord other than God, when He is the Lord of all things?” No soul gets except what it is due, and no soul bears the burdens of another. Then to your Lord is your return, then He will inform you regarding your disputes.

6-AlAn’am

  1. Say, “My Lord commands justice, and to stand devoted at every place of worship. So call upon Him, and dedicate your faith to Him alone. Just as He originated you, so you will return.”

7-AlA’raf

  1. Do they not think? There is no madness in their friend. He is but a plain warner.
  2. Have they not observed the government of the heavens and the earth, and all the things that God created, and that their time may have drawn near? Which message, besides this, will they believe in?
  3. Whomever God misguides has no guide. And He leaves them blundering in their transgression.

7-AlA’raf

10-Yunus

  1. They said, “O Noah, you have argued with us, and argued a great deal. Now bring upon us what you threaten us with, if you are truthful.”

  3. “My advice will not benefit you, much as I may want to advise you, if God desires to confound you. He is your Lord, and to Him you will be returned.”

11-Hud

  1. Even if there were a Quran, by which mountains could be set in motion, or by which the earth could be shattered, or by which the dead could be made to speak. In fact, every decision rests with God. Did the believers not give up and realize that had God willed, He would have guided all humanity? Disasters will continue to strike those who disbelieve, because of their deeds, or they fall near their homes, until God’s promise comes true. God never breaks a promise.

13-ArRa’d

  1. We never sent any messenger except in the language of his people, to make things clear for them. God leads astray whom He wills, and guides whom He wills. He is the Mighty, the Wise.

14-Ibrahim

  1. To every community We sent a messenger: “Worship God, and avoid idolatry.” Some of them God guided, while others deserved misguidance. So travel through the earth, and see what the fate of the deniers was.
  2. Even though you may be concerned about their guidance, God does not guide those who misguide. And they will have no saviors.

16-AnNahl

  1. And do not be like her who unravels her yarn, breaking it into pieces, after she has spun it strongly. Nor use your oaths as means of deception among you, because one community is more prosperous than another. God is testing you thereby. On the Day of Resurrection, He will make clear to you everything you had disputed about.
  2. Had God willed, He would have made you one congregation, but He leaves astray whom He wills, and He guides whom He wills. And you will surely be questioned about what you used to do.

16-AnNahl

  1. You would have seen the sun, when it rose, veering away from their cave towards the right, and when it sets, moving away from them to the left, as they lay in the midst of the cave. That was one of God’s wonders. He whom God guides is truly guided; but he whom He misguides, for him you will find no directing friend.

18-AlKahf

28-AlQasas

  1. Yet the wrongdoers follow their desires without knowledge. But who can guide whom God leaves astray? They will have no helpers.
  2. So devote yourself to the religion of monotheism—the natural instinct God has instilled in mankind. There is no altering God’s creation. This is the true religion, but most people do not know.
  3. Turning towards Him—and be conscious of Him, and perform the prayer, and do not be of the idolaters.

30-ArRum

  1. You cannot make the dead hear, nor can you make the deaf hear the call when they turn away.
  2. Nor can you guide the blind out of their error. You can make hear only those who believe in Our signs, and so have submitted.
  3. God is He Who created you weak, then after weakness gave you strength, then after strength gave you weakness and gray hair. He creates whatever He wills. He is the Omniscient, the Omnipotent.

30-ArRum

  1. What of him whose evil deed was made attractive to him, and so he regards it as good? God leads astray whomever He wills, and He guides whomever He wills. Therefore, do not waste yourself sorrowing over them. God knows exactly what they do.

35-Fatir

  2. We placed shackles around their necks, up to their chins, so they are stiff-necked.
  3. And We placed a barrier in front of them, and a barrier behind them, and We have enshrouded them, so they cannot see.
  4. It is the same for them, whether you warn them, or do not warn them—they will not believe.
  5. You warn only him who follows the Message, and fears the Most Gracious inwardly. So give him good news of forgiveness, and a generous reward.
  6. It is We who revive the dead; and We write down what they have forwarded, and their traces. We have tallied all things in a Clear Record.

36-YaSin

  1. What about someone whose heart God has opened to Islam, so that he follows a light from His Lord? Woe to those whose hearts are hardened against the mention of God. Those are in manifest error.
  2. God has sent down the best of narrations: a Scripture consistent and paired. The skins of those who reverence their Lord shiver from it, then their skins and their hearts soften up to the remembrance of God. Such is God’s guidance; He guides with it whomever He wills. But whomever God leaves astray, for him there is no guide.

39-AzZumar

  1. We sent down upon you the Book for mankind in truth. He who follows guidance does so for the good of his soul. And he who strays in error does so to its detriment. You are not their overseer.
  2. God takes the souls at the time of their death, and those that have not died during their sleep. He retains those for which He has decreed death, and He releases the others until a predetermined time. In that are signs for people who reflect.

39-AzZumar

  1. Have you considered him who has taken his desire for his god? God has knowingly led him astray, and has sealed his hearing and his heart, and has placed a veil over his vision. Who will guide him after God? Will you not reflect?
  2. And they say, “There is nothing but this our present life; we die and we live, and nothing destroys us except time.” But they have no knowledge of that; they are only guessing.
  3. When Our clarifying Verses are recited to them, their only argument is to say, “Bring back our ancestors, if you are truthful.”
  4. Say, “God gives you life, then He makes you die; then He gathers you for the Day of Resurrection, about which there is no doubt. But most people do not know.”

45-AlJathiyah
