Intoxicant Drinks الخمر والمسكرات

  • ( 2003) عَنْ ابْنِ عُمَرَ رضي الله عنهما أَنَّ رَسُولَ الله صلى الله عليه وسلم  قَالَ (( كُلُّ مُسْكِرٍ خَمْرٌ  وَكُلُّ مُسْكِرٍ حَرَامٌ ؛ وَمَنْ شَرِبَ الخَمْرَ  فِي الدُّنْيَا فَمَاتَ وَهُوَ يُدْمِنُهَا ؛لَمْ يَتُبْ ؛ لَمْ يَشْرَبْهَا فِي الآخِرَةِ  ))

( صحيح مسلم )

Ibn ‘Umar reported Allah’s Messenger (peace be upon him) as saying

Every intoxicant is Khamr and every intoxicant is forbidden. He who drinks wine in this world and dies while he is addicted to it, not having repented, will not be given a drink in the Hereafter

  • (1985) عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رضي الله عنه قَالَ : سمعت النَّبِيَّ  الله صلى الله عليه وسلم يَقُولُ : (( الخَمْرُ مِنْ هَاتَيْنِ الشَّجَرَتَيْنِ النَّخْلَةِ والعِنَبَةِ ))

Abu Huraira reported Allah’s Messenger (peace be upon him) having said

Wine is prepared from the (fruit) of these two trees-date-palm and vine

  • (1984) عَنْ وَائِلٍ الحَضْرَمي أَنَّ طَارِقَ بِنْ سُوَيْدٍ الجُعَفِيِّ رضي الله عنه  سَأَلَ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم عَنِ الخَمْرِ  فَنَهَاهُ  أَوْ كَرِهَ أَنْ يَصْنَعَهَا فَقَالَ : إِنَّمَا أَصْنَعُهَا لِلدَّوَاءِ فَقَالَ :(( إِنَّهُ لَيْسَ بِدَوَاءٍ وَلَكِنَّهُ دَاءٌ ))

( صحيح مسلم )

Wa’il al-Hadrami reported that Tariq b. Suwaid a-Ju’fi asked Allah’s Apostle (peace be upon him) about liquor. He forbade (its use) and he expressed hatred that it should be prepared. He (Tariq) said

I prepare it as a medicine, whereupon he (the Holy Prophet) said: It is no medicine, but an ailment
