Killing Unlawfully القتل الحرام

  • [ 6862]  عَنْ ابْنِ عُمَرَ رضي الله عنهما قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ الله صلى الله عليه وسلم (( لَنْ يَزَالَ المؤْمِنُ فِي فُسْحَةٍ مِنْ دِينِهِ مَالَمْ يُصِبْ دَمًا حَرَامًا ))

( صحيح البخاري )

Narrated Ibn `Umar

Allah’s Messenger (peace be upon him) said, “A faithful believer remains at liberty regarding his religion unless he kills somebody unlawfully.”

(Sahih al-Bukhari)

  • [ 6874]  عَنْ عَبْدِالله بْنِ عُمَرَ رضي الله عنهما  عَنَ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ : (( مَنْ حَمَلَ عَلَيْنَا السِّلاحَ فَلَيْسَ مِنَّا ))

( صحيح البخاري )

Ibn ‘Umar (RAA) narrated that The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said

“Whoever carries arms against us, is not one of us.” Agreed upon

(Sahih al-Bukhari)

  • (1395 )  عَنْ عَبْدِاللهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو  رضي الله عنهما : أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ : (( لَزَوَالُ الدُّنْيَا أَهْوَنُ عَلَى اللهِ مِنْ قَتْلِ رَجُلٍ مُسْلِمٍ ))

( جامع الترمذي )

Narrated ‘Abdullah bin ‘Amr

that the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: “The world ceases to exist is less significant to Allah than killing a Muslim man.”

  • (4001) عَنْ بُرَيْدَةَ رضي الله عنه قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ الله صلى الله عليه وسلم : (( قَتْلُ المُؤمِنِ أَعْظَمُ  عِنْدَ اللهِ مِنْ زَوَالِ الدُّنْيَا ))

( سنن النسائي )

It was narrated that ‘Abdullah bin ‘Amr said

“Killing a believer is more grievous before Allah than the extinction of the whole world.”

(Sunan an-Nasa’i)

  • (4105) عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ زَيْدٍ  رضي الله عنه  عَنْ النَّبِيَّ  صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ : (( مَنْ قَاتَلَ دُونَ مَالِهِ فَقُتِلَ فَهُوَ شَهِيدٌ وَمَنْ قَاتَلَ دُونَ دَمِهِ فَهُوَ شَهِيدٌ  ؛ وَمَنْ قَاتَلَ دُونَ أَهْلِهِ فَهُوَ شَهِيدٌ ))

( سنن النسائي )

It was narrated from Sa’eed bin Zaid that

The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: “Whoever fights to protect his wealth and is killed, he is a martyr. Whoever fights to protect himself, he is a martyr. Whoever fights to protect his family is a martyr.”
