  • [ 5678]  عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيرَةَ  رضي الله عنه  عَنِ النَّبَيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم  قَالَ : (( مَا أَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ دَاءً إِلا أَنْزَلَ لَهُ شِفَاءً ))

( صحيح البخاري )

Narrated Abu Huraira

The Prophet (peace be upon him) said, “There is no disease that Allah has created, except that He also has created its treatment.”

(Sahih al-Bukhari)

  • [ 5681]  عَنِ ابنِ عَبَّاسٍ رضي الله عنهما  عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم  قاَلَ : (( الشِّفَاءُ فِي ثَلاثَةٍ : فِي شَرْطَةِ مِحْجَمٍ  أَوْ  شَرْبَةِ عَسَلٍ أَوْ كَيَّةٍ بِنَارٍ  ؛ وَأَنَا أَنْهَى أُمَّتِي عَنِ الكَيِّ ))

Narrated Ibn `Abbas

The Prophet (peace be upon him) said, “Healing is in three things: cupping, a gulp of honey or cauterization, (branding with fire) but I forbid my followers to use cauterization (branding with fire)

  • [ 5701]  عَنِ ابنِ عَبَّاسٍ  رضي الله عنهما  : أَنِّ رَسُولَ  الله صلى الله عليه وسلم  احْتَجَمَ  وَهُوَ مُحْرِمٌ  فِي رَأسِهِ مِنْ شَقِيقَةٍ كَانَتْ بِهِ ))

Narrated Ibn `Abbas

Ibn `Abbas  said: Allah s Apostle was cupped on his head for unilateral headache while he was in a state of Ihram

  • [ 5684]  عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الخُدْرِيِّ  رضي الله عنه  : أَنَّ رَجُلا أَتَى النَّبَيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم  فَقَالَ : أَخِي يَشِتَكِي  بَطْنَهُ  فَقَالَ (( اسْقِهِ عَسَلا ))  ثُمَّ أَتَى الثَّانِيَةَ  فَقَالَ (( اسْقِهِ عَسَلا ))  ثُمَّ أَتَاهُ الثَّالِثَةَ فَقَالَ (( اسْقِهِ عَسَلا ))  ثُمَّ أَتَاهُ فَقَالَ : قَدْ فَعَلْتُ . فَقَالَ (( صَدَقَ اللَّهُ وَكَذَبَ بَطْنُ أَخِيكَ اسْقِهِ عَسَلا )) فَسَقَاهُ  فَبَرَأَ

Narrated Abu Sa`id Al-Khudri

A man came to the Prophet (peace be upon him) and said, “My brother has some Abdominal trouble.” The Prophet (peace be upon him) said to him “Let him drink honey.” The man came for the second time and the Prophet (peace be upon him) said to him, ‘Let him drink honey.” He came for the third time and the Prophet (peace be upon him) said, “Let him drink honey.” He returned again and said, “I have done that ‘ The Prophet (peace be upon him) then said, “Allah has said the truth, but your brother’s `Abdomen has told a lie. Let him drink honey.” So he made him drink honey and he was cured

(Sahih al-Bukhari)

  • [ 5687] عَنْ عَائِشَةَ رضي الله عنها  أَنَّها سَمِعَتْ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَقُولُ (( إِنَ هَذِهِ الحَبَّةَ  السَّوْدَاءَ شِفَاءٌ مِنْ كُلِّ دَاءٍ ؛ إِلَّا مِنَ السَّامِ  قُلْتُ : وَمَا السَّأمُ ؟ قَالَ : المَوْتُ ))

`Aisha has narrated that she heard the Prophet (peace be upon him) saying, ‘This black cumin is healing for all diseases except As-Sam.’ Aisha said, ‘What is As-Sam?’ He said, ‘Death

  • [ 5692] عَنْ أُمِّ قَيْسِ بِنْتِ مِحْصَنٍ  قَالَتْ : سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَقُولُ : (( عَلَيْكُمْ بِهَذَا العُودِ الهِنْدِيِّ  فَإنَّ فِيهِ سَبْعَةَ أَشْفِيَةٍ : يُسْتَعَطُ بِهِ مِنَ العُذْرَةِ  ؛ وَيُلَدُّ بِهِ  مِنْ ذَاتِ الجنْبِ ))

( صحيح البخاري )

Narrated Um Qais bint Mihsan

I heard the Prophet (peace be upon him) saying, “Treat with the Indian incense, for it has healing for seven diseases; it is to be sniffed by one having throat trouble, and to be put into one side of the mouth of one suffering from pleurisy.”

  • [ 5739 ]  عَنْ أمِّ سَلَمَةَ رضي الله عنها  : أَنِّ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم رَأَى فِي بَيْتِهَا جَارِيَةً فَي وَجْهِهِا سَفْعَةٌ  فَقَالَ (( اسْتَرْقُوا  لَهَا  فَإِنَّ بِهَا النَّظْرَةَ  ))

( صحيح البخاري )

Narrated Um Salama

that the Prophet (peace be upon him) saw in her house a girl whose face had a black spot. He said. “She is under the effect of an evil eye; so treat her with a Ruqya.”

  • [5743] عَنْ عَائِشَةَ رضي الله عنها  أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم  كَانَ يعوِّذُ  بَعْضَ أَهْلِهِ  يَمْسَحُ  بِيَدِهِ اليُمْنَى  وَيَقُولُ (( اللَّهُمَّ رَبَّ النَّاسِ أَذْهِبِ البَاس  اشْفِهِ وَأَنْتَ الشَّافِي لا شِفَاءَ إِلا شِفَاؤُكَ شِفَاءً لا يُغَادِرُ سَقَمًا ))

Narrated `Aisha

The Prophet (peace be upon him) used to treat some of his wives by passing his right hand over the place of ailment and used to say, “O Allah, the Lord of the people! Remove the trouble and heal the patient, for You are the Healer. No healing is of any avail but Yours; healing that will leave behind no ailment

(Sahih al-Bukhari)

  • [ 5745]  عَنْ عَائِشَةَ رضي الله عنها  : أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله  عليه وسلم  كَانَ يَقُولُ لِلْمَرِيضِ : (( بِسْمِ اللَّهِ تُرْبَةُ أَرْضِنِا ؛ بِرِيقَةِ بَعْضِنَا ؛ يُشْفَي سَقِيمُنَا ؛ بِإِذْنِ رَبِّنَا  ))

Narrated `Aisha

The Prophet (peace be upon him) used to say to the patient, “In the Name of Allah The earth of our land and the saliva of some of us cure our patient

(Sahih al-Bukhari)

  • [5769]    أَخْبَرَنَا  عَامِرُ ابْنُ سَعْدٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ الله صلى الله عليه (( مَنْ تَصَبَّحَ سَبْعَ تَمَرَاتٍ عَجْوَةً لَمْ يَضُرُّهُ ذَلِكَ اليَوْمِ سُمٌّ وَلا سِحْرٌ ))

( صحيح البخاري )

Narrated Sa`d

Allah’s Messenger (peace be upon him) said, “He who eats seven ‘Ajwa dates every morning, will not be affected by poison or magic on the day he eats them.”

(Sahih al-Bukhari)

  • [ 5774 ]  عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رضي الله عنه قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ الله صلى الله عليه وسلم :  (( لا تُورِدُو المُمْرِضَ عَلَى المُصِحِّ ))

Narrated Abu Huraira

Allah’s Messenger (peace be upon him) said, “No ‘Adha.” Abu Huraira also said: The Prophet (peace be upon him) said, “The cattle suffering from a disease should not be mixed up with healthy cattle (or said “Do not put a patient with a healthy person as a precaution.”)

  • (2049)  عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ زَيْدٍ رضي الله عنه  قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ  رَسُولَ الله صلى الله  عليه وسلم يَقُولُ (( الكَمْأَةُ مِنَ المَنِّ ؛ وَمَاؤُهَا شِفَاءٌ لِلْعَيْنِ  ))

( صحيح مسلم )

Through another chain of transmitters, Sa’id b. Zaid b. ‘Amr reported

I heard Allah’s Apostle (peace be upon him) as saying: Truffles are a kind of ‘Manna’ and their juice is a medicine for the eyes

  • (2185)  عَنْ عَائِشَةَ زَوْجِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم  أَنَّها قَالَتْ :  كَانَ إِذَا اشْتَكَى رَسُولُ اللهِ  صلى الله عليه وسلم رَقَاهُ جِبْرِيلُ ؛ قَالَ : بِاسْمِ اللهِ يُبْرِيكَ  وَمِنْ كُلِّ دَاءٍ يَشْفِيكَ ؛ وَمِنْ شَرِّ حَاسِدٍ إِذَا حَسَدَ ؛ وَشَرِّ كُلِّ ذِي عَيْنٍ

 ( صحيح مسلم )

‘A’isha (the wife of Allah’s Apostle) said:

When Allah’s Messenger (peace be upon him) fell ill, Gabriel used to recite this: “In the name of Allah, may He cure you from all kinds of illnesses and safeguard you from the evil of a jealous one when he feels jealous and from the evil influence of eye.”

  • (2186)  عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ رضي الله عنه أَنَّ جِبْرِيلَ  أَتَى النَّبَيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم  فَقَالَ : يَا مُحَمَّدُ اشْتَكَيْتَ ؟ فَقَالَ : (( نَعَمْ ))  قَالَ : (( بِاسْمِ اللهِ أَرْقِيكَ ؛ مِنْ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ يُؤذِيكَ ؛ مِنْ شَرِّ كُلِّ نَفْسٍ أَوْ عَيْنِ حَاسِدٍ اللهُ يَشْفِيكَ  ؛ بِاسْمِ اللهِ أَرْقِيكَ

( صحيح مسلم )

Abu Sa’id reported that Gabriel came to Allah’s Messenger (peace be upon him) and said

Muhammad, have you fallen ill? Thereupon he said: Yes. He (Gabriel) said: “In the name of Allah I exorcise you from everything and safeguard you from every evil that may harm you and from the eye of a jealous one. Allah would cure you and I invoke the name of Allah for you.”

  • (2188)  عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رضي الله عنهما  عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ :  (( العَيْنُ حَقٌّ وَلَوْ كَانَ شَيْءٌ سَابَقَ القَدَرَ سَبَقَتْهُ العَيْنُ وَإِذَا استُغْسِلْتُمْ فَاغْسِلُوا ))

( صحيح مسلم )

Ibn ‘Abbas reported Allah’s Messenger (peace be upon him) as saying

The influence of an evil eye is a fact; if anything would precede the destiny it would be the influence of an evil eye, and when you are asked to take bath (as a cure) from the influence of an evil eye, you should take bath

( Sahih Muslim )

  • (2192)  عَنْ عَائِشَةَ رضي الله عنها قَالَتْ : كَانَ رَسُولُ الله صلى الله عليه وسلم إِذَا مَرِضَ أَحَدٌ مِنْ أَهْلِهِ ؛ نَفَثَ عَلَيْهِ بِالمُعَوِّذَاتِ . فَلَمَا مَرِضَ مَرَضَهُ الَّذِي مَاتَ فِيهِ ؛ جَعَلتُ أَنْفُثُ عَلَيْهِ وَأَمْسَحُهُ بِيَدِ نَفْسِهِ ؛ لأَنَّهَا كَانَتْ أَعْظَمَ بَرَكَةً مِنْ يَدِي

( صحيح مسلم )

‘A’isha reported that when any of the members of the household fell ill Allah’s Messenger (peace be upon him) used to blow over him by reciting Mu’awwidhatan, and when he suffered from illness of which he died I used to blow over him and rubbed his body with his hand for his hand had greater healing power than my hand

( Sahih Muslim )

  • (2202)  عَنْ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ العَاصِ الثَّقَفِيِّ رضي الله عنه  أَنَّه شَكَا إِلى رَسُولِ اللهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم  وَجَعاً  يَجِدُهُ فِي جَسَدِهِ مُنْذُ أَسْلَمَ . فَقَالَ لَهُ رَسُولُ الله صلى الله عليه وسلم (( ضَعْ يَدَكَ عَلَى الَّذِي تَأَلَّمَ مِنْ جَسَدِكَ ؛ وَقُلْ : بِاسْمِ الله ثَلاثاً  ؛ وَقُلْ سَبْعَ مَرَّاتٍ : أَعُوذُ  بِاللهِ وَقُدْرَتِهِ مِنْ شَرِّ مَا أَجِدُ وَأُحَاذِرُ ))

( صحيح مسلم )

Uthman b. Abu al-‘As Al-Thaqafi reported that he made a complaint of pain to Allah’s Messenger (peace be upon him) that he felt in his body at the time he had become Muslim. Thereupon Allah’s Messenger (peace be upon him) said

Place your hand at the place where you feel pain in your body and say Bismillah (in the name of Allah) three times and seven times A’udhu billahi wa qudratihi min sharri ma ajidu wa uhadhiru (I seek refuge with Allah and with His Power from the evil that I find and that I fear

  • (3857)  عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رضي الله عنه قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ الله صلى الله عليه وسلم : (( مَنِ احْتَجَمَ  لِسَبْعَ عَشْرَةَ وَتِسْعَ عَشْرَةَ  وَإِحْدَى وَعِشْرِينَ  كَانَ شِفَاءً مِنْ كُلِّ دَاءٍ ))

( سنن أبي داود )

Narrated Abu Hurayrah

The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: If anyone has himself cupped on the 17th, 19th and 21st it will be a remedy for every disease

(Sunan Abi Dawud)

  • (3905) عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رضي الله عنهما  قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم : (( مَنْ اقْتَبَسَ عِلْمًا مِنَ النُّجُومِ اقْتَبَسَ شُعْبَةً مِنَ السِّحْرِ  زَادَ مَا زَادَ ))

( سنن أبي داود )

Narrated Abdullah ibn Abbas

The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: If anyone acquires any knowledge of astrology, he acquires a branch of magic of which he gets more as long as he continues to do so

(Sunan Abi Dawud)

  • (4575) عَنْ عَبْدِالعَزِيزِ بْنِ عُمَرَ بْنْ عَبْدِالعَزِيزِ ؛  قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي بَعْضُ الوَفْدِ الَّذِينَ قَدِمُوا عَلَى أَبِي قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ الله صلى الله عليه  وسلم (( أَيُّمَا طَبِيبٍ تَطَبَّبَ عَلَى قَوْمٍ لا يُعْرَفْ لَهُ تَطَبُّبٌ قَبْلَ ذَلِكَ  فَأَعْنَتَ فَهُوَ ضَامِنٌ  ))  قاَلَ عَبْدُالعَزِيزِ : أَمَا إِنَّهُ لَيْسَ بِالنَّعْتِ ؛ إِنَّمَا هُوَ قَطْعُ العُرُوقِ وَالبَطُّ وَالكَيُّ

Narrated AbdulAziz ibn Umar ibn AbdulAziz

Some people of the deputation which came to my father reported the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) as saying: Any physician who practises medicine when he was not known as a practitioner before that and he harms (the patients) he will be held responsible. AbdulAziz said: Here physician does not refer to a man by qualification. it means opening a vein, incision and cauterisation

  • (5097)  عَنْ عَائِشَةَ رضي الله عنها  قَالَتْ : كان رَسُولُ اللهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم يُؤتَى بِالصِّبْيَانِ  فَيَدْعُوا لَهُمْ  بِالبَرَكَةِ . زَادَ يُوسُفُ  : وَيُحَنِّكَهُمْ  وَلَمْ يَذْكُرْ بِالبَرَكَةِ

( سنن أبي داود )

Narrated Aisha, Ummul Mu’minin

Boys used to be brought to the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him), and he would invoke blessings on them. Yusuf added: “and soften some dates and rub their palates with them”. He did not mention “blessings”

(Sunan Abi Dawud)

  • (1757) عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رضي الله عنهما : أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ :  (( اكْتَحِلُوا بِالِإثْمِدِ  فَإِنَّه يَجْلُوا البَصَرَ وَيُنْبِتُ الشَّعَرَ ))  وَزَعَمَ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم كَانَتْ لَهٌ مُكْحُلَةٌ  يَكْتَحِلُ بِهَا كُلَّ لَيْلَةٍ ؛ ثَلاثَةً فِي هَذِهِ وَثَلاثَةً فِي هَذِهِ

Narrated Ibn ‘Abbas

That the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: “Use Ithmid for Kohl, for it clears the vision and grows the hair (eye-lashes).” And he claimed that the Prophet (peace be upon him) had a Kohl holder with which he would apply Kohl every night, three in this (eye) and three in this

  • (2038)  عَنْ أُسَامَةَ بْنِ شُرِيكٍ   رضي الله عنه  قَالَ : قَالَتْ الأَعْرَابُ : يَا رَسُولَ الله أَلَا نَتَدَاوَى ؟ قَالَ : (( نَعَمْ يَاعِبَادَ اللهِ تَدَاوَوْا ؛ فَإِنَّ الله لَمْ يَضَعْ دَاءً إِلَّا وَضَعَ لَهُ شِفَاءً – أو قال : دَوَاءً – إِلَّا دَاءً وَاحِدًا ))  قَالُوا يَا رَسُولَ الله وَمَا هُوَ ؟ قَالَ : (( الهَرَمُ ))

( جامع الترمذي )

Usamah bin Sharik said

“Some Bedouins asked: ‘O Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) shall we treat (our ill)?’ He said: ‘Yes, O worshipers of Allah! Use remedies. For indeed Allah did not make a disease but He made a cure for it’ – or – ‘a remedy. Except for one disease.’ They said: ‘O Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him)! What is it?’ He said: ‘Old age.'”

  • (2040)  عَنْ عُقْبَةَ بْنِ عَامِرٍ الجُهَنِيِّ  رضي الله عنه  قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم (( لا تُكْرِهُوا مَرْضَاكُمْ عَلَى الطَّعَامِ ؛ فَإنَّ اللهَ يُطْعِمُهُمْ وَيَسْقِيهِمْ  ))

( جامع الترمذي )

Uqbah bin Amir Al-Juhani narrated that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said

“Do not force your sick to eat, for indeed Allah, Blessed and Most High, provides them food and drink.”(Dai’f)

  • ( 2055)  عَنِ المُغِيرَةِ بْنِ شُعْبَةَ  رضي الله عنه قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ الله صلى الله عليه وسلم (( مَنْ اكْتَوَى أَوْ اسْتَرْقَى  فَقَدْ بَرِىءَ مِنَ التَّوَكُّلِ ))

‘Aqar bin Al-Mughirah hin Shubah narrated from is father who said that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said

“Whoever seeks treatment by cauterization,or with Ruqyah, then he has absolved himself of At-Tawakkal (reliance upon Allah).”

  • (2057) عَنْ عُمْرَانَ بْنِ حُصَيْنٍ  رضي الله عنهما : أنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ (( لا رُقْيَةَ إِلَّا مِنْ عَيْنٍ أَوْ حُمَةٍ ))

‘Imran bin Husain narrated that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said

“No Ruqyah except for the (evil) eye and the scorpion sting.”

  • (2058)  عَنْ أَبِي سَعَيدٍ رضي الله عنه قَالَ : كَانَ رَسُولُ الله صلى الله عليه وسلم  يَتَعَوَّذُ مِنَ الجَانِّ  وَعَيْنِ الِإنْسَانِ ؛حَتَّى نَزَلَتْ المُعَوَّذَتَانِ ؛ فَلَمَا نَزَلَتَا أَخَذَ بِهِمَا وَتَرَكَ مَا سِوَاهُمَا

Abu Sa’eed narrated

“The Messenger of Allah(peace be upon him) would seek refuge from the jinn and the (evil) eye of humans, until Al-Mu’awwidhatain were revealed. So they were revealed he used them and left other than them.”

  • (2059) عَنْ أَسْمَاءَ بِنْتِ عُمَيْسٍ  رضي الله عنها قَالَتْ : يَارَسُولَ الله ؛ إِنَّ وَلَدَ جَعْفَرٍ تُسْرِعُ إِلَيْهِمُ العَيْنُ ؛ أَفَأَسْتَرْقِي لَهُمْ ؟ فَقَالَ : (( نَعَمْ ؛ فَإِنَّهُ لَوْ كَانَ شَيْءٌ سَابَقَ القَدَرَ لَسَبَقَتْهُ العَّيْنُ ))

( جامع الترمذي )

Asma’ bint ‘Umaish said

” I said: ‘O Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him)! Some of Ja’far’s children have suffered from an accelerated case of the inflammation of the eye, so should I have them treated with Ruqyah?’ He said: ‘Yes,for indeed if there was anything that could overcome the Decree, then the evil eye would overcome it.”

  • (2060) عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رضي الله عنهما  قَالَ : كَانَ رَسُولُ الله صلى الله عليه وسلم يُعَوِّذُ الحَسَنَ وَالحُسَيْنَ يَقُولُ (( أُعِيذُكُمَا بِكَلِمَاتِ اللهِ التَّامَّةِ  مِنَ كُلِّ شَيْطَانٍ وَهَامَّةٍ  ؛ وَمِنْ كُلِّ عَيْنٍ لامَّةٍ )) وَيَقُولُ :  (( هَكَذَا كَانَ إِبْرَاهِيمُ يُعَوِّذُ إِسْحَاقَ وَاسْمَاعِيلَ))

( جامع الترمذي )

Ibn ‘Abbas narrated that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) used to seek refuge for Al-Hasan and Al-Husain saying

“”U’idhukuma bikalimatillahi-tammati,min kulli shaitanin wa hammatin, wa minkulli’ainin lammah (I seek refuge for the two of you in the Perfect Words of Allah, from every devil and every poisonous pest, and from every harmful eye).” And he would say: “It is with this that Ibrahim would seek refuge for Ishahaq and Ismail [peace be upon them].”

  • (2380 )  عَنْ مِقْدَامِ بْنِ مَعْدِي كَرِبَ رضي الله عنه قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم  يَقُولُ (( مَامَلأَ  آدَمِيٌّ وِعَاءً شًرًّا مِنْ بَطْنٍ ؛ بِحَسْبِ ابْنِ آدَمَ أُكُلُاتٌ يُقِمْنَ صُلْبَهُ ؛ فَإِنْ كَانَ لا مَحَالَةَ  فَثُلُثٌ لِطَعَامِهِ  وَثُلُثٌ لِشَرَابِهِ  وَثُلُثٌ لِنَفَسِهِ ))

( جامع الترمذي )

Miqdam bin Ma’dikarib said

“I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) saying: ‘The human does not fill any container that is worse than his stomach. It is sufficient for the son of Adam to eat what will support his back. If this is not possible, then a third for food, a third for drink, and third for his breath.”

  • (2506)  عَنْ وَاثِلَةَ بْنِ الأَسْقَعِ  رضي الله عنه قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ الله صلى الله عليه وسلم (( لا تُظْهِرِ الشَّمَاتَةَ لأَخِيكَ ؛ فَيَرْحَمَهُ اللهُ وَيَبْتَلِيكَ ))

Wathilah bin Al-Asqa’ narrated that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said

“Do not rejoice over the mishaps of your brother so that Allah has mercy on him and subjects you to trials.”

  • (3543) عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رضي الله عنهما : أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ :  (( لا تُدِيمُوا النَّظَرَ إِلَى المَجْذُومِينَ ))

It was narrated from Ibn ‘Abbas that the Prophet (peace be upon him) said

“Do not keep looking at those who have leprosy.”
