  • (2162)  عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رضي الله عنه أَنَّ رَسُولَ الله صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ : (( حَقُّ المُسْلِمِ عَلَى المُسْلِمِ سِتٌّ )) قِيلَ : مَاهُنَّ يَارَسُولَ الله ؟ قَالَ (( إِذَا لَقِيتَهُ  فَسَلِّمْ عَلَيْهِ ؛ وَإِذَا دَعَاكَ فَأَجِبْهُ ؛ وَإِذَا اسْتَنْصَحَكَ  فَانْصَحْ لَهُ ؛ وَإِذَا عَطَسَ فَحَمِدَ الله فَشَمِّتْهُ ؛ وَإذَا مَرِضَ فَعُدْهُ  وَإِذَا مَاتَ فَاتَّبِعْهُ ))

( صحيح مسلم )

Abu Huraira reported Allah’s Messenger (peace be upon him) as saying

Six are the rights of a Muslim over another Muslim. It was said to him: Allah’s Messenger, what are these? Thereupon he said: When you meet him, offer him greetings;when he invites you to a feast accept it. when he seeks your council give him, and when he sneezes and says:” All praise is due to Allah,” you say Yarhamuk Allah (may Allah show mercy to you) ; and when he fails ill visit him; and when he dies follow his bier

  • (4874) عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رضي الله عنه قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ الله صلى الله عليه وسلم :  ((  كُلُّ المُسْلِمِ عَلَى المُسْلِمِ حَرَامٌ ؛ مَالُهُ وَعِرْضُهُ ؛ وَدَمُهُ ؛ حَسْبُ امْرِىءٍ مِنَ الشَّرِّ أَنْ يَحْقِرَ أَخَاهُ المٌسْلِمَ ))

Abu Hurairah reported the Messenger of Allah (May peace be upon him) as saying

Everything of a Muslim is sacred to a Muslim : his property, honour and blood. It is enough evil for any man to despise his brother Muslim

(Sunan Abi Dawud)

  • (4892) عَنْ ابْنِ عُمَرَ رضي الله عَنْهُمَا قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ الله صلى الله عليه وسلم :  (( اذْكُرُوا مَحَاسِنَ  مَوْتَاكُمْ وَكُفُّوا عَنْ مَسَاوِيهِمْ ))

Narrated Abdullah ibn Umar

The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: Make a mention of the virtues of your dead, and refrain from (mentioning) their evils

  • (4588) عن أبي ذر قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ الله صلى الله عليه وسلم : (( أَفْضَلُ الأَعْمَالِ الحُبُّ في اللهِ وَالبُغْضُ فِي اللهِ ))

Narrated AbuDharr

The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: The best of the actions is to love for the sake of Allah and to hate for the sake of Allah

  • (5115) عن المِقْدَامِ ابْنِ مَعْدِي كَرِبَ – وَقَدْ كَانَ أَدْرَكَهُ  عَنِ النَّبِيٍّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ : (( إِذَا أَحَبَّ الرَّجُلُ أَخَاهَ فَلْيُخْبِرْهُ أَنَّهُ يُحِبُّهُ ))

Narrated Al-Miqdam ibn Ma’dikarib

The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: When a man loves his brother, he should tell him that he loves him

  • (5118) عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ رضي الله عنه قَالَ : رَأَيْتُ أَصْحَابَ رَسُولِ اللَّه صلى الله عليه وسلم  فَرِحُوا بِشَيْءٍ لَمْ أَرَهُمْ فَرِحُوا بِشَيْءٍ أَشَدَّ مِنْهُ  قَالَ رَجُلٌ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ؛ الرَّجُلُ يُحِبُّ الرَّجُلَ  عَلَى العَمَلِ مِنَ الخَيْرِ يَعْمَلُ بِهِ وَلَا يَعْمَلُ بِمِثْلِهِ  فَقَالَ رَسُولُ الله صلى الله عليه وسلم (( المَرْءُ مَعَ مَنْ أَحَبَّ ))

Anas b. Malik said

I never saw the Companions of the Messenger of Allah (May peace be upon him) so happy about anything as I saw them happy about this thing. A man said : Messenger of Allah! A man loves another man for the good work which he does, but he himself cannot do like it. The Messenger of Allah (May peace be upon him) said: A man will be with those whom he loves

  • (1425) عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رضي الله عنه قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ الله صلى الله عليه وسلم : (( مَنْ نَفَّسَ عَنْ مُؤْمِنٍ كُرْبَةً مِنْ كُرَبِ الدُّنْيَا نَفَّسَ الله عَنْهُ كُرْبَةً مِنْ كُرَبِ الآخِرَةِ  ؛ وَمَنْ سَتَرَ عَلَى مُسْلِمٍ سَتَرَهُ  اللهُ فِي الدُّنْيَا وَالآخِرَةِ  واللهُ فِي عَوْنِ العَبْدِ مَا كَانَ العَبْدُ فِي عَوْنِ أَخِيهِ ))

( جامع الترمذي )

Narrated Abu Hurairah

That the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: “Whoever relieves a Muslim of a burden from the burdens of the world, Allah will relieve him of a burden from the burdens of the Hereafter. And whoever covers (the faults of) a Muslim, Allah will cover (his faults) for him in the world and the Hereafter. And Allah is engaged in helping the worshipper as long as the worshipper is engaged in helping his brother.”

  • (1931) عَنْ أَبِي الدَّرْدَاءِ رضي الله عنه عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم  قَالَ : (( مَنْ رَدَ عَنْ عِرْضِ أَخِيهِ  رَدَّ الله عَنْ وَجْهِهِ النَّارَ  يَوْمَ القِيَامَةِ ))

Abu Ad-Darda narrated that the Messenger of Allah said

“Whoever protects his brother’s honor, Allah protects his face from the Fire on the Day of Resurrection.”

  • (2387)  عن صفوان بن عسال رضي الله عنهما قال : جاء أعرابي جهوري الصوت  قال : يا محمد  الرجل يحب القوم ولما يلحق بهم ؟  فقال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم (( المرء مع من أحب ))

Safwan bin Assal narrated that a Bedouin with a loud voice and said

” O Muhammad! A man loves the people but does not catch up to them (in deeds).” So the Messenger of Allah(s.a.w) said: “A man shall be with whomever he loves.”

  • (2506)  عَنْ وَاثِلَةَ بْنِ الأَسْقَعِ  رضي الله عنه قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ الله صلى الله عليه وسلم (( لا تُظْهِرِ الشَّمَاتَةَ لأَخِيكَ ؛ فَيَرْحَمَهُ اللهُ وَيَبْتَلِيكَ ))

( جامع الترمذي )

Wathilah bin Al-Asqa’ narrated that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said

“Do not rejoice over the mishaps of your brother so that Allah has mercy on him and subjects you to trials.”

  • [13] عَنْ أَنَسٍ رضي الله عنه عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم  قَالَ : (( لا يُؤمِنُ أَحَدُكُمْ  حَتَّى يُحِبَّ لأَخِيهِ مَا يُحِبُّ لِنَفْسِهِ ))

 (صحيح البخاري )

The Prophet (peace be upon him) said, “None of you will have faith till he wishes for his (Muslim) brother what he likes for himself.”

(Sahih al-Bukhari)
