  • [4981] عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رضي الله عنهقَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ الله صلى الله عليه وسلم : (( مَا مِنْ الأَنْبِيَاِء نَبِيٌّ إلا أُعْطِي مِنّ الآيَاتِ مَا مِثْله آمَنِ عَلَيْهِ البَشَرُ  وَإِنَّمَا كَانَ الَّذِي أُوتِيتُ وَحْيًا أَوْحَاهُ الله إِلَيَّ ؛ فَأَرْجُوا أَنْ أَكُونَ أَكْثَرَهُمْ تَابِعًا يَوْمَ القِيَامَةِ  ))

(صحيح البخاري )

It is narrated on the authority of Abu Huraira that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) observed

There has never been a Prophet amongst the prophets who was not bestowed with a sign amongst the signs which were bestowed (on the earlier prophets). Human beings believed in it and verily I have been conferred upon revelation (the Holy Qur’an) which Allah revealed to me. I hope that I will have the greatest following on the Day of Resurrection

  • [5027] عَنْ عُثمانَ رضي الله عنه  عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم  قال :(( خَيْرُكُمْ مَنْ تَعَلَّمَ القُرآنَ وَعَلَّمَه  ))

(صحيح البخاري )

‘Uthman reported the Prophet (peace be upon him) as saying

The best among you is he who learns and teaches the Qur’an

(Sahih al-Bukhari)

  • [5025] عن عَبْدِالله بنِ عُمَرَ رضي الله عنهما  قَالَ :سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ الله صلى الله عليه وسلم  يَقُولُ : لا حَسَدَ إلا عَلَى اثْنَتَيْنِ رَجُلٌ آتَاهُ الله الكِتَابَ  وَقَامَ بِهِ آنَاءَ اللِّيْلِ ؛ وَرَجُلٌ أَعْطَاهُ الله مَالًا  فَهُو يَتَصَدَّقُ بِهِ آنَاءِ اللَّيلِ وَآنَاءَ النَّهَارِ ))

(صحيح البخاري )

Narrated `Abdullah bin `Umar

Allah’s Messenger (peace be upon him) said, “Not to wish to be the like except of two men. A man whom Allah has given the knowledge of the Book and he recites it during the hours of the night, and a man whom Allah has given wealth, and he spends it in charity during the night and the hours of the day.”

(Sahih al-Bukhari)

  • (4592)  عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رضي الله عَنْ النَّبِيَّ  صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ :  (( المِرَاءُ  فِي القُرْآنِ كُفْرٌ ))

Narrated AbuHurayrah

The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: Controverting about the Qur’an is disbelief
